Traffic Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Traffic Manager to coordinate and oversee all traffic management operations across multiple project sites. This role is responsible for ensuring all traffic guidance schemes are implemented safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage traffic management operations across multiple sites.
• Develop and review Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS).
• Ensure compliance with local council, state road authority, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise Traffic Controllers and ensure all staff maintain correct qualifications and PPE.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding job requirements and scheduling.
• Manage equipment allocation, signage inventory, and setup/pack-down procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation, job records, and incident reports.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in traffic management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of traffic control standards, road authority guidelines, and WHS requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs under tight deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Required Qualifications

• Current Traffic Controller & Implementer accreditation (state-specific).
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Valid driver’s licence (MR/HR licence desirable).
• First Aid certification (preferred).
